Website maintenance encompasses things that you do in order to keep your website running smoothly. While “Content is King” and keeping fresh content is important, radically changing the text on your website too frequently isn’t a good idea, either. But naturally if you add a new associate to your team, or you add new technology (CBCT, CEREC) that opens your business up to more new patients, you must update your website to reflect these exciting new changes.
I also include under the maintenance category the need to make sure your website is properly backed-up. Setting up a backup plan for your website is something you will factor in when you initially build your site. Making frequent (daily - weekly) backups of your website is critical, and I will come back to the subject of backups in the chapter about website maintenance.
